	National Conference 2011: The Ottawa Chapter is very pleased to be hosting the Canadian Celiac Association's National Conference, taking place May 13-15, 2011. For more informatoin, click here.
	Allergy Alert: April 3rd, 2009 From the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA); concerning gluten-free breads made by certain manufacturers that may in fact contain wheat. 	Daytime Get-Togethers A while ago we asked for interest in daytime meetings, particularly for those who had difficulty with evening travel. The response has been very good, and we now have two groups that meet regularly -- one for lunch and one for general support. Members interested in the daytime groups are asked to call Betty Salewicz at (613) 722-9038.
	Oats The National Canadian Celiac Association website has recently posted new information about eating oats. Go to the national website here and scroll down to read about the "Revised Position on Oats".

	Chapter Email Address and Group Mailing List : The Ottawa Chapter has a new email address, celiac@magma.ca , which you can use to communicate with any member of the board. To facilitate our response to your email we ask that you write the name of the intended recipient in the subject heading, such as writing Programme if you would like to suggest an idea for an upcoming meeting. If you wish to send an email to June Williams our regional director then please use her personal email address june-williams@sympatico.ca . We are always interested in receiving feedback from our members and we hope this will help us to serve you better. The Chapter has also created a group email list that will be used to send announcements about upcoming events, such as the general meetings and pizza nights, to any interested member. The email list will also be used to notify you about restaurants that decide to participate in our restaurant awareness campaign. Only the current board members are allowed to post to this list and your email address will be kept private. If you wish to subscribe to the list and start receiving notifications by email then send a message to OttawaCeliacs-subscribe@googlegroups.com or you can give us your email address at the next general meeting.
